"Kava" features two beverages and accompanying condiments inspired by traditional Indian culture. The product lineup includes two canned drinks—masala chai (with cardamom and ginger)—and three chutney spreads—tomato, cilantro, and mango. I wanted the packaging to reflect the rich cultural heritage of India while also creating a modern and appealing brand identity.
To achieve this, I incorporated traditional Indian patterns and motifs, focusing on intricate floral details that are often seen in Indian art and textiles. These patterns became a central visual element throughout the designs, tying the products together while also evoking the cultural significance of the flavors. For the beverage cans, I used warm, earthy tones to represent the spices and ingredients, with vibrant accents to make the designs stand out on the shelf.
In addition to the packaging designs, I created a strong logo for “Kava”, featuring bold typography that anchors the brand’s identity. I wanted the logo to feel both modern and timeless, balancing traditional elements with a contemporary edge. The typography was deliberately chosen to be strong and legible, allowing the brand to make a statement in a crowded market. This project allowed me to explore the fusion of cultural tradition and modern design, aiming to create a memorable and visually striking brand experience.
